How to Locate a Resource and Referral Agency
CCR&R staff can provide you with referrals
to child care providers in early education programs
that are customized to meet your needs. Staff can
also provide you with other information and related
services in your community.

Families with Disabilities & Special Needs
The Florida Directory of Early Childhood Services
(Central Directory) is a statewide information and
referral service for families, service coordinators
and other professionals who work with children and
youth, birth to age 21 years who are at risk for
developmental delays, or have disabilities and special
health care needs.
This program provides information on a wide range
of services statewide. Services include diagnosis/evaluation,
early intervention, education and training, information
about medical services, screening/assessments, support
groups, and therapies.
The Central Directory team facilitates advocacy,
public awareness, training, technical assistance
and dissemination of information about disabilities
and special health care needs for families, national,
state and local early care and education agencies/organizations,
and early intervention agencies.

State of Florida Child Care, Training, & Licensing Website
The State of Florida Licensing website is
maintained by the
Florida Dept of Children and Families,
Child Care Services Program Office, which is statutorily
responsible for the administration of child care
licensing and training throughout Florida. The purpose
of this program is to ensure that children are well
cared for in a safe, healthy, positive and educational
environment by trained, qualified child care staff.
This program currently regulates licensed child
care facilities, licensed family day care homes,
licensed large family child care homes, and licensed
mildly ill facilities in 60 of the 67 counties in
Florida. In addition, the
Child Care Services Program Office
administers the registration of family day
care homes not required to be licensed.

and others information and resources relating to
child care training, licensure requirements, inspection
and data reports, personnel requirements, director
credentials, the gold seal quality care program
and more.
